1 Peter 2:15-17
KJV 15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: 16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. 17Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
WEB 15 For this is the will of God, that by well-doing you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: 16 as free, and not using your freedom for a cloak of wickedness, but as bondservants of God. 17Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

15 Doing God’s will should silence the flesh we have inside us, doing good make it easier to not be foolish, sinful.

16 This is talking about truly following the Lord not using grace to sin but using His grace a s liberty for us to further serve Him even though we still sin. The covering of wickedness is claiming Jesus without having a heart change and still being bound to sin.

17 These are things we should and must do as Christians, we want to honor Him botth by our time with Him and how we treat others.

Micah 4:9-10
KJV 9 Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail. 10 Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.
WEB 9 Now why do you cry out aloud? Is there no king in you? Has your counselor perished, that pains have taken hold of you as of a woman in travail? 10 Be in pain, and labor to give birth, daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail; for now you will go out of the city, and will dwell in the field, and will come even to Babylon. There you will be rescued. There Yahweh will redeem you from the hand of your enemies.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

9 They cried for a king but forgot that God is Lord and He has far more control over things then any king could ever have. They went to many places but didn’t choose to be wise by going to the Lord and seeking His will.

10 This is a reference used later for Jesus who is the Lord salvation in the flesh the God man who died to save us from our sins, He is our Lord and Savior.

Micah 4:6-8
KJV 6 In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted; 7And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever. 8 And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.
WEB 6 “In that day,” says Yahweh, “I will assemble that which is lame, and I will gather that which is driven away, and that which I have afflicted; 7 and I will make that which was lame a remnant, and that which was cast far off a strong nation: and Yahweh will reign over them on Mount Zion from then on, even forever.” 8 You, tower of the flock, the hill of the daughter of Zion, to you it will come, yes, the former dominion will come, the kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

6 God loves those that are considered outcasts and Jesus when He was on the earth went to these people and accepted them coming to Him. We should accept them and be used to bring all people to Jesus even those the world considers outcasts.

7 Jesus is going to come again and reign. We as Christians are waiting for Him to take His throne but many are not ready for this day and we should be sharing His Truth with them so that they too could be ready.

8 We are going to be a part of His kingdom and when we came to Jesus in faith we already starting being apart of it and one day we can be apart of it without having our will and without our flesh.

1 Peter 2:13-14
KJV 13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
WEB 13 Therefore subject yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether to the king, as supreme; 14 or to governors, as sent by him for vengeance on evildoers and for praise to those who do well.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

13 We should obey God first always but then the leaders He allows to be in charge, we should pray for bad leaders that don’t seek or know God but we should still obey them with the Lord leading us of course, we are not meant to sin because of wicked leaders and God doesn’t want us to and this verse is not saying we should be.

14 We should give credit to our leaders for the good things they do and give them positive encouragement, help them do right rather then hurt them, if we have these chances.

Micah 4:3-5
KJV 3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. 5 For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.
WEB 3 and he will judge between many peoples, and will decide concerning strong nations afar off. They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war any more. 4 But they will sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and no one will make them afraid: For the mouth of Yahweh of Armies has spoken. 5Indeed all the nations may walk in the name of their gods; but we will walk in the name of Yahweh our God forever and ever.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

3 This means that God will bring ultimate peace this will come when Christ returns fo the church, we wont have wars anymore when He sets us His kingdom.

4 Life in the kingdom will be as God originally intended it to be in the garden but even better then they had it. We will live growing what we need not having run or animals destroy what we are growing or someone come and take what we grow but being able to live off them.

5 We will in these days walk with Jesus forever. Eternity is scary but with the Lord being there it is truly heaven.

Micah 3:11-12
KJV 11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us. 12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.
WEB 11 Her leaders judge for bribes, and her priests teach for a price, and her prophets of it tell fortunes for money: yet they lean on Yahweh, and say, “Isn’t Yahweh among us? No disaster will come on us.” 12 Therefore Zion for your sake will be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem will become heaps of rubble, and the mountain of the temple like the high places of a forest.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

11 That thought they were safe because they were His people but there was deep corruption, the priesthood had corrupt which meant people went thru corrupt means to talk to God and false words were being spread as though they were from God and decisions were being made not by justice but by bribes, this was something God was going to judge and do away with, we need to make sure we are not living this way.

12 Israel was going to be removed and restarted, God was going to wipe the place clean because they weren’t seeking Him to be clean.

1 Peter 2:3-5
KJV 3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. 4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, 5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
WEB 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious: 4 coming to him, a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God, precious. 5 You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

3 We as Christians have received and tasted His wonderful and perfect grace.

4 Many have rejected Jesus being the building block of their life but for the Lord He is a precious stone and for us we can not be built without Him. We can not reject Him building us if we have accepted Him as our Lord and Savior.

5 We are built to be part of the building that the Lord is making. We are stones in His plans for serving Him, are we serving?

Micah 3:9-10
KJV 9 Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity. 10 They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
WEB 9 Please listen to this, you heads of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, who abhor justice, and pervert all equity.10 They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

9 God is trying to get their attention because of the sin they are living in them. God tries to get people’s attention so that He can bring them out of sin.

10 Zion refers to Jerusalem but also all of the nation. We need to build up good and not sin.

1 Peter 2:1-2
KJV 1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, all evil speakings, 2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
JuliaSmith 1 Therefore setting aside all wickedness, and all artifice, and dissimulation; and envies, and all calumnies, 2 As new born babes, long for the sincere milk pertaining to the word, that ye might be nourished with it:

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

1 We should set aside all sinful behavior so that we can live for the Lord and live in His ways.

2 We should long for the Lord hunger and thirst for His righteousness and hunger for His word more then we do for food. We should thirst more for the Lord then we do water and by our cling to Him we over come with Him leading us these wickednesses of the flesh.

Micah 3:6-8
KJV 6 Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them. 7 Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God. 8 But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
WEB 6 “Therefore night is over you, with no vision, and it is dark to you, that you may not divine; and the sun will go down on the prophets, and the day will be black over them. 7 The seers shall be disappointed, and the diviners confounded. Yes, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer from God.” 8 But as for me, I am full of power by Yahweh’s Spirit, and of judgment, and of might, to declare to Jacob his disobedience, and to Israel his sin.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

6 Darkness often reveals a time of hopelessness and sin but, there is hope in the Lord and following His way.

7 There were many saying things that they claimed were from God that weren’t and God was going to shut their mouths by the events that were going to happen. While we should listen to false teachers, we should let God deal with them and not take that into our hands.

8 There were few prophets called by God often times God only used one at a time, to share the truth. Truth isn’t always the thing we want to hear but following truth can change and the only way we can follow truth is to come to the Lord.
